TTC Stands for Racial Justice and Equity — #BLM@TTC, #FIGHTRACISM@TTC, #EQUITY4ALL@TTC

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. (TTC) stands unequivocally in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and the calls for justice in the wake of the recent tragic murders of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks and so many more due to police brutality and other acts of racism and violence.

We share the pain and anguish this senseless loss of life has caused for our Black colleagues, staff, and patients. We want you to know that we see you, we value you, and we will continue to fight against structural racism so that the ideals of liberty, equality and justice for all become a reality.

TTC opposes racial injustice in all its forms and always has. We believe in the dignity and rich diversity of all our staff, patients, and the community at large and their right to be treated equally with respect regardless of age, race, ethnic or cultural background, gender identity or sexual orientation.

TTC has long understood that systemic racism exists and negatively impacts the Black, Latinx and all minority communities in a multitude of ways. As a healthcare organization, we are keenly aware of the glaring racial health inequality that has plagued our society and has become even more apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

TTC is committed to addressing social and health inequities through the many programs and services we offer. We will continue to protect the rights of individuals and to prohibit discrimination against our staff, patients, and community at large.

We pledge to work collaboratively with staff to be an anti-racist employer by taking appropriate opportunities to address racial biases or inequalities in any form and to fully embrace diversity and inclusion. We pledge to seek to reflect diversity at every level of our organization, including within our recruitment practices, leadership, and community partnerships. We recognize this cannot be achieved overnight, but over time, we will pursue immediate, short and long-term strategies toward this goal.

We know that we cannot do this work alone. We look forward to collaborating with staff and patients and involving the community on how we can better support social and economic justice for all.
