Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. Launches Tarzana Treatment Centers College with Innovative SUD Certification Program

Giving back in a time of crisis, Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. (TTC) proudly announces the launch of Tarzana Treatment Centers College (TTCC). Offering a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counseling Certification Program, TTCC is a positive example. It highlights the integrated patient-centered, evidence-based approach that is the essence of the TTC mission.

Based in Southern California, TTCC will help expand access to quality treatment services by increasing the pool of well-trained substance use and mental health counselors. On opening day on February 1st, the inaugural student cohorts will comprise of people within the TTC community. In 2022, however, the doors will open to the public, providing access to an immersive program of educational and training opportunities.

TTCC Offers SUD Counseling Training and Connects Graduates to Marginalized Communities

A state- accredited learning and education division of Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc., Tarzana Treatment Centers College is approved to operate by the California State Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Education. TTCC’s curriculum is accredited by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). Moreover, TTTC receives accreditation from the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP).

Indeed, TTCC reflects the same high standards of Tarzana Treatment Centers. These standards are the result of the leadership of TTC’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Albert Senella, and Chief Financial Officer, Silvia Cadena. Every one of the many facilities under the TTC banner is licensed and certified by the State of California and the County of Los Angeles. Moreover, TTC receives accreditation from The Joint Commission. Moreover, TTCC engages the expertise and education experiences of Dr. José C. Salazar. He serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tarzana Treatment Centers College. At the heart of the institution, Dr. James B. Golden serves as Chief Academic Officer.

There is a national crisis where substance use disorder is increasing. Therefore, there is a great need for SUD counselors. Moreover, the TTCC SUD Counseling Certification Program supports students from intersectional backgrounds. Thus, they gain the skills to help local communities in Los Angeles County and beyond. TTCC’s SUD Counseling Certification Program addresses the gaps in patient access to treatment. Thus, TTC connects graduates to marginalized communities.

Housed within Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc., TTCC operates out of the Woodland Hills location on Variel Avenue. The 6-month, self-paced program is mostly online in the beginning. However, students attend live symposiums 1-2 times a month. Students also access virtual reality simulations, Moreover, they complete internships at TTC locations across Los Angeles County.

TTCC’s first class of TTC community-based students for the SUD Certification program begins February 1. Tarzana Treatment Centers College expands every year. Thus, it provides certifications to prospective students around Los Angeles County and California. The results are SUD counselors ready to engage community members in SUD treatment. Hence, the goal of Tarzana Treatment Centers College is to help stem the tide of the substance use health crisis. Indeed, this crisis is impacting patients in both California and the entire country.
