CSULB Pow Wow

Tarzana Treatment Centers recognizes the importance of connecting with communities we serve in alcohol and drug treatment. We believe that a show of support for cultural activities through attendance and involvement allows us to provide better treatment to individuals. We also get a chance to educate members of the community about alcohol and drug addiction treatment, and bring hope to those in need of treatment.
CSULB Pow Wow
On March 7th and 8th, 2009, Tarzana Treatment Centers attended the 39th Annual California State University – Long Beach Pow Wow. Our information booth staff was greeted with enthusiasm, and we were able to answer many questions about Native American alcohol and drug treatment and detox. Almost all of informational flyers and brochures about our Native American Services that we brought with us were handed out to those seeking information.

On Saturday we were invited to join Mandy Reyes on Native Hoop internet radio at www.blogtalkradio.com/Native_Hoop. We were pleased to participate and thank the broadcasters for the air time. Go to the Native Hoop website for more information.

As usual, we met with several long-time friends and were introduced to some new. When we connect with so many at an event like the CSULB Pow Wow, we continue to learn more about alcohol dependence and drug addiction within the American Indian community. And members of the community learn more about alcoholism and addiction to drugs like heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and prescription drugs.

If you missed us at the Pow Wow, and would like information on alcohol or drug detox and treatment for Native Americans, call us at 888-777-8565 or fill out the secure contact form here.
