Starting in October, 2013, California will begin open enrollment for health insurance through its insurance exchange known as Covered California. This is our State’s marketplace for the US Affordable Care Act.

Everyone Needs Health Insurance
The most important piece of information we can give you is that almost everyone will need to obtain some form of health insurance by January, 2014. This is true whether you are employed or unemployed, and children need coverage too.
This is good news because Covered California will help you to obtain health insurance at affordable rates, and, in some cases, at no cost to you.
Subsidized Insurance Eligibility and Rates
