Classes are offered at Tarzana Treatment Centers' locations in Tarzana, Long Beach
and Lancaster.
Domestic Violence and Anger Management Education
Designed for men mandated by the courts, this program addresses issues of physical
abuse and/or anger. The class meets the requirements for the 52-week court-mandated
program and is approved by the Domestic Violence Council of Los Angeles and aims
to provide participants with the tools to more appropriately deal with the feelings
and thoughts that result in abusive behavior. The meetings address the intent and
effect of power and control associated with abusive actions and utilize:
- Educational presentations
- Groups discussions
- Individual assignments
- Videotaped vignettes
- Role playing
A 20-week course is also offered for people with anger management issues who may
or may not be under court order to complete the program. Each two-hour class is
offered in English and Spanish in our Tarzana, Long Beach and Lancaster sites.
Drug Court Provider
Tarzana Treatment Centers is a provider of outpatient services for people referred
for treatment from the Van Nuys drug court.
