We're here to help you through any crisis, including legal troubles. Counselors at Tarzana Treatment Centers can help you or your family member to handle this difficult time. We work with local courts to provide approved treatment for substance abuse and response to domestic violence / anger management.

Drug Diversity (P.C. 1000): Deferred Entry of Judgment Program

This program is accredited by the Los Angeles County Probation Department for first time drug offenders who are mandated by the courts to attend a drug education program.

Offered in both English and Spanish, the program consists of 20 weekly 2.5-hour sessions designed to:

  • Educate participants on the effects and dangers of drugs
  • Increase self-awareness
  • Promote behavioral change
  • Prevent further drug use and incarceration

The program is comprised of:

  • Lectures
  • Films
  • Guest speakers
  • Group sessions
  • Discussions

Classes are offered at Tarzana Treatment Centers' locations in Tarzana, Long Beach and Lancaster.

Domestic Violence and Anger Management Education

Designed for men mandated by the courts, this program addresses issues of physical abuse and/or anger. The class meets the requirements for the 52-week court-mandated program and is approved by the Domestic Violence Council of Los Angeles and aims to provide participants with the tools to more appropriately deal with the feelings and thoughts that result in abusive behavior. The meetings address the intent and effect of power and control associated with abusive actions and utilize:

  • Educational presentations
  • Groups discussions
  • Individual assignments
  • Videotaped vignettes
  • Role playing

A 20-week course is also offered for people with anger management issues who may or may not be under court order to complete the program. Each two-hour class is offered in English and Spanish in our Tarzana, Long Beach and Lancaster sites.
