Tarzana welcomes community's valuable skills to assist its staff in the daily operations
of the alcohol and drug treatment center towards the agency's mission. Through Volunteer Opportunities and
Clinical and Academic
Internships, TTC can provide qualified* volunteers with an exciting and
educational experience in a variety of program/service areas and at locations throughout
Los Angeles County, Orange County, the San Fernando Valley, and Antelope Valley including Tarzana, Reseda, Northridge, Long Beach and Lancaster.

Qualifications:
To be a volunteer at any Tarzana locations, please be:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be prompt and professional
- Pass our physical examination and screening process
- Participate in training

- 12-step activities and sponsorship during alcohol and drug treatment

- Reading and Game Playing with Children
- Recreational activities with youth in adolescent drug treatment or adults

Academic/Professional Volunteers/Interns
Clinical: We offer a year round program for clinical internships
and practicum for MSW, MFT Interns and L1 Practicum Level Doctoral Candidates in
programs serving chemical dependent, HIV and dual diagnosis populations in all levels
of care. Opportunity to provide individual, family and group counseling in cognitive
behavioral and 12-step modalities are available at all of our locations throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, the San Fernando Valley, and Antelope Valley.
Administrative: Traineeships in Program Development provide training
and application of skills in grant writing, training, web site development and program
design. Students in Public Health, Business Administration and Social Work are encouraged
to participate. These opportunities are available at Tarzana location.
