Great things come about with a meeting of the minds. Tarzana Treatment Centers is proud to be participating in the 7th Annual Promising Practices Conference, as we have been a big part of the past six. The discussion will center on

Every year, this conference provides a forum for open discussion so professionals attending can remain up to date on best practices. It is a great way to learn from others and share experiences so others can grow. The information is so valuable that anyone who works with seniors should attend.
The senior population is growing, and so is the percentage of them who are seeking treatment for mental health. The old-time stigma is, thankfully, diminishing among seniors. They require specialized treatment for mental health disorders. What may seem like a recently widowed spouse grieving over the loss, for example, may be a person suffering from depression or anxiety over several recent losses.
There is more to mental health and aging than disorders. Forgetfulness is a part of the later years that some take with a grain of salt, or with great anger. In either case, professionals can help seniors to learn how to deal with the loss of memory. Keeping active with a positive outlook is also important to maintain good mental health in the golden years. These topics are all covered at the conference.
At our hospital, outpatient programs, and clinics, Tarzana Treatment Centers provides Medicare-covered primary care, mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services.
Telemedicine services are also available with online medical care, online mental health treatment, and online alcohol and drug treatment.
